Wondering what mods to make to your 4WD? Take some inspiration from Nic’s FJ dubbed, Red Beast, packed with awesome mods including a Rhino-Rack Backbone and Pioneer Tradie! A great vehicle for off-roading with a massive load rating of 120kg. The Red Beast is no stranger to the outback as Nic regularly goes touring with the FJ Cruiser Club NZ. Tell us this vehicle doesn't make you wanna head out on a trip?
Rhino-Rack: Why'd you choose a Pioneer Backbone?
Nic: Strength, stability and usability! The OME rack looked OK but couldn't hold up to what I needed. I'm VERY, very happy with the Pioneer Backbone setup. I picked up the setup from Opposite Lock Christchurch.
Rhino-Rack: Some people are all looks and no action, where was your favourite trip?
Nic: The Waipara River Run, our crew (FJ Cruiser Club NZ) have done it a few times. It's an easy trip with some challenges.
Rhino-Rack: What modifications have you made so far?
